Welcome to Sollievo IT, LLC. We are headquartered in Anchorage, AK and have a branch office in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Between the Alaska and Florida locations, we provide cyber security professional services and technology offerings that serve the cyber security needs of organizations in the Pacific Northwest and Southeast U.S. markets.
Sollievo IT, LLC was founded by cyber security expert Leon Jaimes in 2017 to help address the growing need for information security services that help organizations achieve their business goals while minimizing risk from cyber security threats. “Secure by default” is at the core of our practice.
Leon has been in the IT field since about 2002 in various roles which have given him a broad and deep set of skills across the enterprise IT ecosystem.
Leon currently hold the following certifications:
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
The GCIH description states that “Incident handlers manage security incidents by understanding common attack techniques, vectors and tools as well as defending against and/or responding to such attacks when they occur. The GCIH certification focuses on detecting, responding, and resolving computer security incidents and covers the following security techniques:- The steps of the incident handling process
- Detecting malicious applications and network activity
- Common attack techniques that compromise hosts
- Detecting and analyzing system and network vulnerabilities
- Continuous process improvement by discovering the root causes of incidents”
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
The CCSE demonstrates “an understanding of upgrading and advanced configuration of Check Point software blades, installing and managing VPNs (on both internal and external networks), gaining the maximum security from Security Gateways, and resolving Gateway performance issues.” - Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
The PCNSE, Palo Alto Networks’ highest level certification, is for NGFW security engineers and gurus. A Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is capable of designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and trouble-shooting the vast majority of Palo Alto Networks Operating Platform implementations.
Past certifications include:
- Juniper Networks Certified Professional Security (JNCIP-SEC)
The JNCIP-SEC is “Designed for experienced networking professionals with advanced knowledge of the Juniper Networks Junos software for SRX Series devices, this written exam verifies the candidate’s understanding of advanced security technologies and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills.” - VMware Certified Profession – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
The VCP-NV covers the “ability to install, configure, and administer a vSphere data center virtualized with VMware NSX, demonstrating creation and administration of a virtual network including Layer 2 switching and both static and dynamic Layer 3 routing, virtual network devices, and edge services such as DHCP, DNS, and NAT.” One of the prerequisites is the VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) certification, which covers the “ability to configure, administer and scale a vSphere virtualized data center. You can deploy, consolidate, and administer virtualization technologies including vSphere HA and DRS Clusters, storage virtualization using VMFS, Storage DRS and Storage I/O Control, network virtualization using vSphere standard and distributed switches and Network I/O Control, vSphere management using vCenter Server and vRealize Operations Manager Standard, and Virtual Machines”. - VMware Certified Profession – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
The CCNA Security “validates associate-level knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks. With a CCNA Security certification, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats. The CCNA Security curriculum emphasizes core security technologies, the installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices, and competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure.”
